About Ms. Moralez:
Hello, my name is Ms. Moralez and I am currently one of the teachers at Mount Ogden Junior High School. I was one of the softball coaches last year. This year I teach Spanish I, Spanish II, and Latinos in Action.
I am originally from The Great Lakes State, Michigan. I attended Grand Valley State University, where I got my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English both for Secondary Education. I love sports-- I am a HUGE fan of Detroit Baseball. I enjoy hiking, camping, boarding, writing, reading, traveling, and of course spending time with family and friends. I took my first Spanish class when I was in middle school. It wasn't long after that when I fell in love with not only the Spanish language, but the Hispanic world as a whole. I made my first trip abroad at the age of 13. I visited Spain and various other places in Europe. It was on this trip that I realized how much more I could improve my Spanish language skills. I didn't know I wanted to be a teacher until I started working as a mentor for at-risk youth. It was due to those experiences that I decided to make supporting, and believing in students my career. In college, I studied and lived abroad in the city of Cholula (yes, like the hot sauce). Cholula is located in the state of Puebla, Mexico. While I was there, I taught 5th and 6th grade English, traveled as much as I could and soaked in the rich, vibrant Mexican culture. I plan to backpack Central, and South America, explore the Caribbean, and return Mexico. Taxco, Guerrero, México
